Community Classes + Memberships

Free Community Yoga Class

A free weekly class every Sunday 4-5pm. Aimed at those less able to afford to pay for yoga in a studio, but also for anyone who is tired of everything in London being just that bit too expensive!
We strongly encourage booking into this class (via our timetable below) but if this is problematic for you, for whatever reason, then please turn up 10 mins before the class start time and the teacher will accommodate  you.

Fitness Disco – A free inclusive classes for adults with learning disabilities

A free class every other Tuesday at 11am. Battling isolation through age and ability inclusive, fun fitness. Classes bring together participants with learning disabilities and/ or neurodiversity to try everything from battle ropes, to indoor rowing and boxing. We always finish the session with a dance so everyone leaves in a good mood!
Class is open to all but most participants visit us with their support workers from Hub Club Outward Housing and Look Ahead Care Home.

Solidarity with Striking Workers

If you’re missing out on pay whilst on strike, send us an email and we’ll set you up some free classes. We stand in solidarity with striking workers in London including nurses and teachers.

Free Community Memberships

5% of our memberships at any one time are FREE for people in the local community who cannot afford to pay for a studio membership or would benefit from studio fitness due to a health condition. There’s no ‘application’ simply send us an email (or have your NHS social prescriber send us an email) to rhian@strongandbendy.co.uk and we will set up your membership.

Work for our lovely NHS? We❤️you! Just let us know and we’ll reduce your membership price by 20%.

Sharing our space

We regularaly offer our studio and garden for free to community organisations, not for profits and all-round nice people to do cool stuff 😊 We’ve hosted everything from Big Yoga Club, Anti Diet Riot Club, to theatre rehearsals, and community dance rehearsals.

Funded by Strong + Bendy

In the last 5 years we have received a £1,000 grant from Wick Award which has helped us deliver some of the adult inclusive classes. Everything else is paid for out of our own profits. The impact we have on the local community is a key part of Strong + Bendy, as long as we are open we will seek to make fitness inclusive for the wonderful community we are in.

 

COMMUNITY CLASSES

Our indoor studio is on the ground floor and opens out onto our beautiful outdoor gym. Filled with natural light and plenty of fresh air it’s the perfect place to practise yoga and our try signature class POP HIIT Pilates.

Battle Ropes

You will not find this class anywhere else in East London or beyond! We are the only fitness studio or gym in Hackney Wick that offers battle ropes classes. Expect tough cardio and strength training all rolled into one in this unique fitness class.

Pop HIIT Pilates

This fitness class is totally unique to Strong + Bendy. Expect pilates inspired moves and interval training choreographed to music.

An incredible all over body workout that is so fun you’ll hardly notice how hard you’re working!

A challenging class that uses Water Rowers and Airbikes along with dumbbells and bodyweight moves for your endurance and strength training all rolled into one!

The most popular fitness class on our timetable. Outdoor exercise classes don’t get any more challenging or motivating than this! Try everything from battle ropes, to pull-up bars and TRX all in one class.

Kettlebell classes in London are not easy to find. At Strong + Bendy we have a wide range of Kettlebells (from 2kg – 24kg) and experienced trainers to help you get the most out of this amazing workout.
